Designer from Penang. I make 3D stuff in Blender, make visuals react to music in TouchDesigner, and run a pineapple juice brand on the side. Sometimes all at once.
I'm Zarid Ad Zakri. I make weird little things move.
I studied graphic design and print at KV Balik Pulau, so I can set type and build a print file properly. Then I got bored of things sitting still. Now I mostly mess around in Blender and TouchDesigner: spinning 8-balls, chrome logos, pineapples that dance to vocals.
I also run Pineapplink, a pineapple juice brand off our own farm. That's where most of my work ends up: mascots, pop-up menus, stickers, an AR thing on the bottle. Having a real business means my designs have to survive real customers, not just likes.
I want to study Immersive Design because I'm already doing it the hard way, self-taught and at 4am. I'd like to learn it properly, and make things people walk into instead of scroll past.
